Freddy Iturri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cienega AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! The referee gave COLON a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Quique Vacas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cienega AFC's Raimundo Playo. 2-0. A collision led to Cienega AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Anacleto Maju hit a great ball. When Adriano Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored COLON's protests and gave Adriano Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Adriano Duarte hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Candido Abeijon kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the last second Raimundo Playo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Quique Vacas in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Paulino Joachim fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cienega AFC's protests and gave Paulino Joachim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Cienega AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Joachim to maneuver through the defense. Mieszko Latkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Playo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 46th minute, Quique Vacas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COLON fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Maju made a kick off. Mieszko Latkiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Playo having to interfere. COLON's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Quique Vacas in the 56th minute. A nice corner shot did that Marco Canor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raimundo Playo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 59 played minutes Cienega AFC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Abeijon. A collision led to COLON getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edgard Urdaspal hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, COLON's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Quiroga came free, but Rogelio Natal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Quique Vacas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Raimundo Playo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anacleto Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes COLON got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Lluciano. Anacleto Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rogelio Natal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mieszko Latkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Maju in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rogelio Natal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Anacleto Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in COLON's zone, Anacleto Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Natal came out of the goal and Anacleto Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Cienega AFC's Anacleto Maju sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Natal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. COLON had won after a very even match.
