With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godofredo Vidal in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Roldanillo saved Vikingos from getting behind. Mussi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cornelio Napier in the 43rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Claudio Aragones got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Freddy Roldanillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Milian to make the kick off. Godofredo Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Freddy Roldanillo made a huge save. After having played for 57 minutes, Godofredo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mussi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jørn Bregnhof made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mussi's Claudio Musko. Freddy Roldanillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Aragones, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Godofredo Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Jørn Bregnhof hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. A collision led to Vikingos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Thanks to some nice moves Godofredo Vidal could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Freddy Roldanillo however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Vikingos's Freddy Roldanillo got control of the ball when Godofredo Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudio Aragones was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Mussi got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Aragones. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Milian in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Aurre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Godofredo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute Rodolfo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Aurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Aurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Nisio in the 96th minute of play.
