After a defensive mix-up in Quilmes A.C.'s zone, Bonifacio Bikendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zygmunt Olchowy came out of the goal and Bonifacio Bikendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Quilmes A.C.'s Herminio Aurre threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emilio Frederik, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Rafael Mambru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Herminio Aurre. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. Zygmunt Olchowy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Emilio Frederik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mussi's Godofredo Vidal in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 77 minutes, Federico Stanislao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilmes A.C. and the Mussi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornelio Napier went to the cornerflag to take it. Cornelio Napier made a great header on Mussi's corner, it was just that Quilmes A.C.'s Zygmunt Olchowy managed to reach the ball for a save.
