Swizzle X's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Bikendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basilio Calvino in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Swizzle X's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Carlomagno came free, but Alvaro Diagur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Club Atlético Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Guerrero. If Basilio Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Calvino in the 33rd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience was convinced that Basilio Calvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Acevedo was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basilio Calvino in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Acevedo saved Club Atlético Maradona from getting behind.
