Valentin Gorosti's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Gervásio Lage on his right side and into the goal. 7 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Gervásio Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Thomas in the 12th minute of play. After 15 played minutes, Copacabana's Valentin Gorosti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gervásio Lage came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Copacabana reached it. Fulgencio Quintana's late challenge caught a SportingLanus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Quintana helped the player get up and apologised. SportingLanus's Gervásio Lage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Clemencin in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Cibran got free with Feliberto Savier in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nunez Cordarius charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Cordarius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nunez Cordarius kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. SportingLanus's Nunez Cordarius got his second yellow card of the match in the 34th minute. The referee ordered Nunez Cordarius off the ground. Nunez Cordarius hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Gervásio Lage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Clemencin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Albano Cresencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Gorosti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervásio Lage. SportingLanus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The SportingLanus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Copacabana were winning 0-2.

With a little luck, SportingLanus's Gervásio Lage got control of the ball when Roque Thomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Copacabana's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Cibran came free, but Feliberto Savier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Thomas came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gervásio Lage could save by the left post. In the 61st minute, Zeledon Luzea made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Savier. Copacabana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 68 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Cibran notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Copacabana's Feliberto Savier. Feliberto Savier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baldomiro Cibran's late challenge caught a Copacabana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Cibran helped the player get up and apologised. Baldomiro Cibran kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Cibran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliberto Savier. Copacabana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Cibran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 84th play minute Roque Thomas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gervásio Lage. 3-4. In a very dangerous position, a player in SportingLanus fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Urbano Clemencin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervásio Lage having to interfere. Gervásio Lage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Thomas in the 98th minute. Copacabana were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SportingLanus's much stronger midfield.
