In the 15th minute, Robertinho Lewandowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robertinho Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gervásio Lage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodeo FC. After a rather tough play, Rodeo FC's Serafino Otsoko got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Robertinho Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind SportingLanus's goalkeeper Gervásio Lage, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoldo Pacho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Robertinho Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gervásio Lage made a huge save. Robertinho Lewandowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervásio Lage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robertinho Lewandowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Robertinho Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Rolando Guter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Venancio Ramos's late challenge caught a Rodeo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rodeo FC booed when SportingLanus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of SportingLanus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rodeo FC:s goal. Robertinho Lewandowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodeo FC made a substitution. Hazım Türegün replaced Robertinho Lewandowski. Gervásio Lage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hazım Türegün in the 78th minute of the match. If Hazım Türegün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, SportingLanus's goal looked a bit too open when Hazım Türegün came free, but Gervásio Lage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Corderall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Rolando Guter with Lucas Abeijon as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Arnoldo Pacho fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodeo FC's protests and gave Arnoldo Pacho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rodeo FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Arnoldo Pacho hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rodeo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SportingLanus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
