A collision led to Moquehuá AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jonas Itzaina hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sabalero's Rômulo Guerra got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Moquehuá AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sabalero getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Afonso Esparteiro hit a great ball. Clodoveo Patxi might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Bibiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clodoveo Patxi ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Patxi in the 36th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Rômulo Guerra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Sabalero booed when Moquehuá AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Moquehuá AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Stephen came free, but Isidoro Min reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Lucas Cristofol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Bibiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürel Zeyni in the 72nd minute of play forced Moquehuá AFC's goalkeeper Isidoro Min to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Rômulo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Min saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rômulo Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Min having to interfere. Sabalero's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
