The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Hilachentos Fulbo Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colibrí FC:s goal. The referee gave Colibrí FC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Maidana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hilachentos Fulbo Club's Feliciano Rami. 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Colibrí FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Guillen came free, but Loco Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Froilan Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Rami saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes, Melchor Bizi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hilachentos Fulbo Club and the Colibrí FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hilachentos Fulbo Club's Feliciano Rami played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Dimo in the 28th minute of play. Americo Raulo's late challenge caught a Colibrí FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Rami took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Lando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilachentos Fulbo Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colibrí FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Dimo in the 92nd minute of play forced Hilachentos Fulbo Club's goalkeeper Feliciano Rami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
