The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Forest Green's Primitivo Colon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Demesio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Mismos de Siempre's goalkeeper Igor Demesio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Peruxu's late challenge caught a Forest Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Peruxu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Los Mismos de Siempre getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Pedro Peruxu hit a great ball. Jacobo Iruinea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jacobo Iruinea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Demesio was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 18th minute Jacobo Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Demesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Los Mismos de Siempre got a freekick which was hit by Piara Morf. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Iruinea in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Demesio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 25 in the game by Jacobo Iruinea from a close distance when the talented Igor Demesio managed to make a qualified save. Los Mismos de Siempre's players were relieved. After 31 minutes, Piara Morf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Mismos de Siempre and the Forest Green players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Los Mismos de Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piara Morf to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Cerilo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Totakoxe having to make a save. Rafael Cerilo's late challenge caught a Forest Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Cerilo helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Cerilo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Iruinea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Ambrosio Dalmu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Igor Demesio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rolando Janpier charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolando Janpier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Iruinea in the 56th minute of play forced Los Mismos de Siempre's goalkeeper Igor Demesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Forest Green got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Guillelme. Igor Demesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Iruinea in the 64th minute of play. Los Mismos de Siempre's Pedro Peruxu got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rafael Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Ambrosio Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Totakoxe came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Mismos de Siempre's Rafael Cerilo. But to his dismay, Rafael Cerilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 79 minutes into the match, Forest Green's goalkeeper Fabio Totakoxe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Cerilo. In the 81st minute of the match Los Mismos de Siempre got a corner. Forest Green's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacobo Jakue ran over to the corner to take the kick. 83 minutes into the match, Los Mismos de Siempre's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Dantel came free, but Igor Demesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luka Modrić hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Ambrosio Dalmu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Demesio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Los Mismos de Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Modrić to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Jakue hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Jacobo Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest Green's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Iruinea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forest Green were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Los Mismos de Siempre for a fine match.
