If Pascual Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Patricio Hibai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabricio Nuñez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jairo Hanni charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Hanni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes ELAUBE got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Hanni. After having played for 16 minutes, Marcos Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnerillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascual Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Eutropio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, ELAUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Hibai to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Faustino Servando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fabricio Nuñez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Carnerillo's Eugenio Peio got a free kick in the 31st minute. Pascual Hever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Nuñez having to interfere. Pascual Hever's late challenge caught a Carnerillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Hever helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ELAUBE getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Pascual Hever hit a great ball. Fabricio Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Izel in the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, one of ELAUBE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ELAUBE. After the first half ELAUBE were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Gelacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mario Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Gelacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mario Ferrando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. ELAUBE's Faustino Servando got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jairo Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Firmo's late challenge caught a ELAUBE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Firmo helped the player get up and apologised. Justo Firmo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Patricio Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Nuñez having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
