Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Marin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marcial Marin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Marin couldn't finish the play. Racing Club's Ildefonso Erlantz got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ildefonso Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Camilo Gelacio fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carnerillo's protests and gave Camilo Gelacio a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Gelacio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Marcial Marin scored 10-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Nuñez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Racing Club had played much better football throughout.
