Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ildefonso Erlantz kicked off to start the match. Vikingos FC's Ricardo Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Erlantz in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Wilfredo Emenon got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Marcial Marin came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Marin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Camilo Javiero got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Emenon to maneuver through the defense. Nemesio Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Marcial Marin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Ildefonso Erlantz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Berbiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Vikingos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Luke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcial Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Berbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Erlantz in the 25th minute of the match. Diego Laurentzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Beat in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Erlantz came free, but Ricardo Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Erlantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Ildefonso Erlantz in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vikingos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! After 46 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Santos. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Beat to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Berbiz made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Ildefonso Erlantz sent off a good shot on target. Ildefonso Erlantz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ricardo Berbiz made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Isaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Laurentzi was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Erlantz got free with Ricardo Berbiz in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernesto Isaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Marin in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ildefonso Erlantz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Erlantz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Berbiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Berbiz came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Ildefonso Erlantz. But to his dismay, Ildefonso Erlantz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marcial Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Club's Ildefonso Erlantz got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
