After a rather tough play, River Plate's Edgard Todor got a free kick in the 13th minute. A hard shot 19 in the game by Ambrosio Frasco from a close distance when the talented Nunez Fanuco managed to make a qualified save. River Plate's players were relieved. The supporters of River Plate booed when Salinas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Manni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Frasco scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nunez Fanuco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Geronimo Florin came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Salinas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Florin couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Frasco got free with Nunez Fanuco in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ambrosio Frasco took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nunez Fanuco. Nunez Fanuco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With his leg Nunez Fanuco managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Salinas FC's Ambrosio Frasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Salinas FC defense, Godfredo Montrel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Lohitzun. The Salinas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Lohitzun should have stopped the shot. Ambrosio Frasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Nunez Fanuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Salinas FC's Anselmo Maule in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nunez Fanuco guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Ambrosio Frasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salinas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Frasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Fanuco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th match minute, Salinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Frasco to maneuver through the defense. Salinas FC's Ambrosio Frasco got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Bartolo Pedroso in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by River Plate's Roman Ermengol. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Ambrosio Frasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Fanuco came out of the goal and Ambrosio Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 minutes, Anselmo Maule made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. River Plate's Nunez Fanuco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Salinas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
