The audience was convinced that Natalio Farias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Blai was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Hernan Blai made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Paulino Casado sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the game, Paulino Casado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hernan Blai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Celso Gabrio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Eulalio Selatse struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Nunez Fanuco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pack FC. In the 30th minute, Natalio Farias fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Juvenal in the 34th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Nunez Fanuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's Mauro Urko got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Gervasio Juvenal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Fanuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Mauro Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mauro Urko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hernan Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Farias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Virgilio Bortzaioriz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pack FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 2-2 became the score in the 57th minute when Virgilio Bortzaioriz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Paulino Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Blai having to interfere. When Amancio Beti fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pack FC's protests and gave Amancio Beti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pack FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Amancio Beti hit a great ball. Nunez Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Gentza in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Gervasio Juvenal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nunez Fanuco, 2-3. 74 minutes into the match, Pack FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Urko came free, but Hernan Blai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Pack FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Amancio Beti hit a great ball. Amancio Beti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Nunez Fanuco made a huge save. Mauro Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 91 minutes, Mauro Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of Pack FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as River Plate had held the ball for most of the match.
