In the 12th minute Delmar Walme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Locaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Gringo Ricardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Luis Figo in the 16th minute of play forced FC ARBOL's goalkeeper Vratislav Měsíček to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, FC ARBOL's Delmar Walme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Locaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leopoldo Locaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nayden Nikitov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Acosta made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carmelo Gaizko. In the 26th minute José Luis Figo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vratislav Měsíček saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Aristides Cordaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmar Walme in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leopoldo Locaio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leopoldo Locaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Walme in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nayden Nikitov got free with Leopoldo Locaio in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corcovado AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Delmar Walme scored to the left of an out of position Leopoldo Locaio, making the score, 2-0. Zeledon Kaxen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vratislav Měsíček having to interfere. Adolfo Oriol hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Locaio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delmar Walme showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeledon Kaxen to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Pedroni in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Locaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Locaio came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by FC ARBOL's Delmar Walme. But to his dismay, Delmar Walme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The FC ARBOL fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when FC ARBOL's Delmar Walme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nemesio Acosta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vratislav Měsíček having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Corcovado AFC's Alejo Orti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vratislav Měsíček made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Corcovado AFC made a substitution. Alvaro Lorien replaced José Luis Figo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Walme in the 78th minute of play forced Corcovado AFC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Locaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Clodoveo Loren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Locaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Walme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 91 minutes, Delmar Walme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ARBOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Walme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Corcovado AFC's Jesus Rolado got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Nayden Nikitov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Locaio having to interfere. Honorio Ado kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. FC ARBOL's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
