When Valentin Rencio, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gustavo Cunha was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gustavo Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateo Laffitte went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Otsoa in the 23rd minute of play forced Carioca FC's goalkeeper Herminio Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Carioca FC's Mateo Laffitte got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Valentin Rencio came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Carioca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Rencio couldn't finish the play. Carioca FC's Răzvan Buricea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nestor Mateo, made in the 32nd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Union's goalkeeper Gustavo Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Rencio. Remigio Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Donzel having to interfere. Eduardo Artal struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Herminio Donzel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Union. The long shot by Thommy Mestdagh in the 39th minute really tested Gustavo Cunha's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Chico Andrade's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Union's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chico Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. Chico Andrade hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Remigio Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Artal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Valentin Rencio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Club Atletico Union's Gustavo Cunha. Gustavo Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Valentin Rencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Răzvan Buricea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gustavo Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Valentin Rencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Union's Gustavo Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Laffitte hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Carioca FC made a substitution. Luciano Franco replaced Thommy Mestdagh. Mateo Laffitte hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Luciano Franco put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gustavo Cunha. Gustavo Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Remigio Otsoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Herminio Donzel made a huge save. Carioca FC's Luciano Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Franco's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carioca FC fully deserved thier win.
