Carioca FC's Valentin Rencio got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Thommy Mestdagh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carioca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thommy Mestdagh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Bottin to make the kick off. Luciano Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fidel Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Valentin Rencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carioca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Rencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Jaen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oscar Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Donzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Txartiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Mateo Laffitte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carioca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hackintosh the free kick. Mateo Laffitte kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Damaso Txartiko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Herminio Donzel came out and tried to block the shot, but Damaso Txartiko slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 68th minute. Hackintosh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Mateo Laffitte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hackintosh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
