An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Gabriel Harriet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 16 minutes into the game, Marios Prekkas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rene Estevon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Federico Belarmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nihat Mesut was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Igor Monø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Estevon having to make a save. After some careless play in the Sarandí Fútbol Club defense, Marios Prekkas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Estevon. The Sarandí Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Estevon should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Igor Monø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Estevon was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Marios Prekkas took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Estevon. Rene Estevon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 36 minutes into the match, Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rene Estevon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Eguerdi. In the 37th minute of the match Esperanza Fútbol Club got a corner. Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godofredo Firmin ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Marios Prekkas took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Rene Estevon to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Berbiz during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Esperanza Fútbol Club's Mauricio Lano was substituted for Melquiades Urbes. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Benjamin Berbiz hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Rene Estevon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marios Prekkas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Americo Haitz hit a great ball. Marios Prekkas scored 9-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Estevon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esperanza Fútbol Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
