Nicasio Abaunza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Harkaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Nicanor Harkaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Los Mejores Juveniles fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Los Mejores Juveniles's Teobaldo Cambranes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teobaldo Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute of the match Los Mejores Juveniles got a corner. Castaño's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. German Montrel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in German Montrel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Castaño's Nicasio Abaunza did a great save. After 30th play minutes Teobaldo Cambranes shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Nicasio Abaunza and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Alvarez in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicasio Abaunza saved Castaño from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Luciano Alvarez put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Nicasio Abaunza. Nicasio Abaunza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Harkaitz in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Gilberto Jerrald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heine Ulf was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After some careless play in the Castaño defense, Nicanor Harkaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicasio Abaunza. The Castaño fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicasio Abaunza should have stopped the shot.

After 52 played minutes Castaño got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Chucho. Nicanor Harkaitz in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicasio Abaunza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-6 when Nicanor Harkaitz sped through Castaño's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicasio Abaunza. After 57 played minutes Castaño got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Frisco. In the 63rd minute, Nicanor Harkaitz made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Abaunza. Castaño's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-7. In the 67th minute, Teobaldo Cambranes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 67 minutes into the match, Luciano Alvarez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicasio Abaunza. Castaño's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Alvarez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-8. Edmundo Corrêa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Los Mejores Juveniles's Edmundo Corrêa got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Castaño's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Leobardo came free, but Nicasio Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Laureano Leobardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heine Ulf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
