The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Figueroa helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Verdugos FC! In the 4th minute, Aldo Bernaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Fon FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Clementi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Francho. In the 10thth minute of the game Americo Froylan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verdugos FC's Moises Ovando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moises Ovando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Americo Froylan's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verdugos FC's goalkeeper Moises Ovando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute Americo Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Ovando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Alvaro Erasto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernabe Clementi, 1-2. Tadeo Macerio charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Macerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fon FC booed when Verdugos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosme Grabiel kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Fon FC were awarded a corner. Aldo Bernaldo went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 38th minute, Americo Froylan made a precise shot to the right of Moises Ovando. Verdugos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Leo Oinatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Moises Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Ovando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Froylan in the 43rd minute of the match. Moises Ovando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Americo Froylan's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When Fon FC's Americo Froylan in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verdugos FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Erasto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Americo Froylan in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moises Ovando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aldo Bernaldo in the 55th minute. The corner led Fon FC's Aldo Bernaldo to fire away a dangerous shot which Moises Ovando despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A hard shot 56 in the game by Americo Froylan from a close distance when the talented Moises Ovando managed to make a qualified save. Verdugos FC's players were relieved. Americo Froylan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moises Ovando having to make a save. With his leg Moises Ovando managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Fon FC's Americo Froylan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 65 minutes into the match, Fon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Erasto came free, but Bernabe Clementi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Verdugos FC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Aureo. In the 69th minute, Emiliano Calvet made a precise shot to the right of Moises Ovando. Verdugos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Americo Froylan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Moises Ovando skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gonzalo Flores recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Fon FC booed when Verdugos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verdugos FC's Moises Ovando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Verdugos FC from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Americo Froylan sped through Verdugos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Moises Ovando. When Emiliano Calvet, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Moises Ovando was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Froylan in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moises Ovando saved Verdugos FC from getting behind. Bernabe Clementi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Francho in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Verdugos FC's zone, Americo Froylan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Ovando came out of the goal and Americo Froylan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Ovando was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Ciro Urre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciro Urre really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Emiliano Calvet struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Moises Ovando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fon FC. When the match was over Fon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Verdugos FC throughout the match.
