Hugo Fernado's late challenge caught a Verdugos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Fernado helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Fernado kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gaudencio Cordairo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Moises Ovando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canlazary FC. Canlazary FC's Teofilo Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Francho in the 15th minute of play. Teofilo Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of Verdugos FC booed when Canlazary FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Ulizes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Francho might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Dolfo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Francho ran back to his position shaking his head. If Angel Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Erasto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Alvaro Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Dolfo having to interfere. Teofilo Dolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Francho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canlazary FC's Teofilo Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Francho in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Alvaro Erasto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teofilo Dolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Erasto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Ulizes kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Rafael Oro came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Verdugos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Oro couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Verdugos FC's Angel Francho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teofilo Dolfo. Teofilo Dolfo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Alvaro Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teofilo Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Canlazary FC's goalkeeper Teofilo Dolfo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Francho. Angel Francho scored 0-4 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teofilo Dolfo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Verdugos FC's Teofilo Dolfo threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvaro Erasto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Verdugos FC's Cosme Grabiel got a free kick in the 91st minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Angel Francho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdugos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Francho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvaro Erasto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teofilo Dolfo. That made the score 0-5 in the 95 minute of play. Verdugos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
