The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hilario Bartoli came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Belgrano San Fco's Leandro Ruy. But to his dismay, Leandro Ruy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Ruy got free with Hilario Bartoli in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Leandro Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Herminio Francho fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Empalme's protests and gave Herminio Francho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Empalme's Herminio Francho got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes, Aaron Inguma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Belgrano San Fco and the Empalme players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Medero in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Astigar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Felipe Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes, Empalme's Ovidio Larpe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzalo Astigar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Empalme reached it. The audience was convinced that Herminio Francho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Astigar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After having played for 35 minutes, Felipe Medero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Empalme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Medero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Empalme fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Empalme's Felipe Medero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 45 played minutes, Empalme's Ovidio Larpe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzalo Astigar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. But to his dismay, Leandro Ruy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Ruy to make the kick off. Herminio Francho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gonzalo Astigar made a huge save. Gonzalo Astigar stood somewhat misplaced when Felipe Medero came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Felipe Medero kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Empalme's Hilario Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Inguma in the 65th minute of play. Laureano Lluc struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hilario Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Belgrano San Fco. In the 70th minute of the match, Felipe Medero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gonzalo Astigar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ovidio Larpe kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Medero in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Hilario Bartoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 86 minutes, Gustavo Porfirio made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Empalme's Hilario Bartoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Herminio Francho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonzalo Astigar was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Gonzalo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Medero in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Ovidio Larpe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonzalo Astigar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sportivo Belgrano San Fco were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Empalme for a fine match.
