The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Calvo's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Azeari came free, but Alex Novais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, Marco Bartuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alex Goodwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Novais made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Alex Goodwin sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Augusto Azeari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportlandia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alex Novais was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Mattias Erik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mattias Erik really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 22nd minute of the match, Mattias Erik tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alex Novais saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 23 played minutes Calvo got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Silvanito. Calvo's Alex Novais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Erik in the 26th minute of play. Augusto Azeari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alex Novais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Goodwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Novais having to interfere. Mattias Erik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Calvo's Alex Novais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Calvo from getting a goal against them. Alex Novais was a little too slow when Mattias Erik got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 45th minute Augusto Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Novais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calvo's Alex Novais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Erik in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larry Woodyat to make the kick off. Feliks Czeszejko charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliks Czeszejko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Sportlandia FC's Mattias Erik in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Azeari in the 65th minute of play forced Calvo's goalkeeper Alex Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Novais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Azeari went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 69 played minutes Calvo got a freekick which was hit by Marco Bartuelo. After some careless play in the Calvo defense, Vlad Cazacu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Novais. The Calvo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Novais should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Silvanito during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute, Isidro Silvanito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Novais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Jerrald in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Calvo defense, Mattias Erik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Novais. The Calvo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Novais should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Calvo's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Goodwin came free, but Alex Novais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Sportlandia FC's Mattias Erik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Novais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Astor Nuno hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Sportlandia FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
