But to his dismay, Luciano Fagondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Los Porteños's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Fagondo came free, but Antonio Criston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Lastur Rodriguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Rosario's Joel Valiente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Los Porteños's Lastur Rodriguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Joel Valiente despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dong Lei Guang in the 22nd minute of play forced Los Porteños's goalkeeper Antonio Criston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlético Rosario fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Atlético Rosario's Luciano Fagondo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Tancredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Valiente was relentless in the 39th minute of the game.
