After having played for 3 minutes, Darman Ardiansyah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japy Man's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darman Ardiansyah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Isidro Faro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gil Leme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute of the match, Long Liang Wei got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luisito Salvino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 20 played minutes Japy Man got a freekick which was hit by Darman Ardiansyah. Isidro Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Leme having to make a save. Gil Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Cuarto in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Japy Man got a corner. Acuña's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Darman Ardiansyah ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Darman Ardiansyah got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gil Leme quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luisito Salvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Cabezon in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Japy Man booed when Acuña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Quintyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, Japy Man was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darman Ardiansyah to maneuver through the defense. When Acuña's Andres Cabezon in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Japy Man's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Japy Man were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Long Liang Wei to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Acuña booed when Japy Man was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geir Alstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th match minute, Japy Man was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonty Mewburn to maneuver through the defense. Acuña's Andres Cabezon got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luisito Salvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Long Liang Wei in the 78th minute of the match. Japy Man's Luisito Salvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Long Liang Wei in the 83rd minute of play. When Acuña's Long Liang Wei in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Japy Man's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Acuña players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
