Patrick Lidman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Edgardo Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Belarmo in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Cobos booed when Chill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chill FC's Melchor Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Chesus in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Belarmo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Veremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melchor Selmo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Guerrero went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cobos's Edgardo Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Feliz in the 26th minute of play. Melchor Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Guerrero in the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Augusto Belarmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Veremundo was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Melchor Selmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Lidman in the 32nd minute. Melchor Selmo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Guerrero went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chill FC's goalkeeper Melchor Selmo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Lino Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melchor Selmo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.

After 51 played minutes Cobos got a freekick which was hit by Lino Guerrero. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Edgardo Veremundo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 63rd minute Leonel Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Patrick Lidman made a precise shot to the right of Melchor Selmo. Chill FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ramiro Gines hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Cobos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Augusto Belarmo scored to the left of an out of position Edgardo Veremundo, making the score, 4-1. After some careless play in the Chill FC defense, Lino Guerrero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Selmo. The Chill FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Selmo should have stopped the shot. Pastor Nataniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Veremundo having to interfere. Melchor Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Guerrero in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Guerrero in the 92nd minute of play forced Chill FC's goalkeeper Melchor Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leonel Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
