Spectators: 7327 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luisito Caradaro kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Régis Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Bartoleme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Norbert Sienkiewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Plata F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of La Plata F.C booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Hegoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Norbert Sienkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Plata F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Sienkiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Bartoleme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Norbert Sienkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Delmar Bartoleme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Elvio Elivareo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmar Bartoleme. VERΛ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Elivareo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Paulo Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fausto Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, La Plata F.C's Armand Simbara made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmar Bartoleme was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute of the match VERΛ got a corner. La Plata F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eleuterio Ferdinand ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anastasio Erauso made a great header on VERΛ's corner, it was just that La Plata F.C's Fausto Marques managed to reach the ball for a save. Rosendo Bidun got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eleuterio Ferdinand. Norbert Sienkiewicz took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmar Bartoleme. Delmar Bartoleme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Luisito Caradaro struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. VERΛ's Delmar Bartoleme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Sienkiewicz in the 47th minute of play. The VERΛ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Plata F.C were winning 1-5.

Delmar Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armand Simbara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Norbert Sienkiewicz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delmar Bartoleme, 1-6. 59 minutes into the match, VERΛ's goal looked a bit too open when Armand Simbara came free, but Delmar Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmar Bartoleme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Elivareo in the 66th minute. Paulo Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armand Simbara in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmar Bartoleme saved VERΛ from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Armand Simbara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Delmar Bartoleme. That made the score 1-7 in the 75 minute of play. The supporters of La Plata F.C booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Delmar Bartoleme managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when La Plata F.C's Norbert Sienkiewicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armand Simbara in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Bartoleme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Fausto Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Hegoi in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Plata F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
