In the 3rd minute Javier Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Lastenia FC's Andriy Shevchenko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delmar Quintin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alvaro Flamini kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Justo Fix hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Fache FC's Delmar Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Opilano in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Modesto Opilano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Fache FC's Delmar Quintin. Delmar Quintin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fache FC's Delmar Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Henric in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Lastenia FC's Modesto Opilano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delmar Quintin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Delmar Quintin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Fache FC defense, Modesto Opilano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmar Quintin. The Fache FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Quintin should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Lorenzo Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lastenia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Rigoberto Joanes's late challenge caught a Lastenia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Joanes helped the player get up and apologised. Delmar Quintin came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Lastenia FC's Javier Henric. But to his dismay, Javier Henric quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Lorenzo Rik's late challenge caught a Fache FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Rik helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Rigoberto Joanes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Feliciano Goyo. That made the score 1-6 in the 42 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Aurelio Ederono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Lastenia FC were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelino Salamon made a kick off. Andriy Shevchenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delmar Quintin having to make a save. Andriy Shevchenko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Delmar Quintin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Lastenia FC's Lorenzo Rik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Delmar Quintin. That made the score 1-9 after 59 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the match, Modesto Opilano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delmar Quintin, 1-10. In the 66th match minute, Lastenia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Galtero to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Quintin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Rik's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Lastenia FC's Andriy Shevchenko pulled a muscle in his back after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Santiago Ferdinand's late challenge caught a Lastenia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Ferdinand helped the player get up and apologised. Lastenia FC made a substitution. Fernando Hautecœur replaced Andriy Shevchenko. After 81 minutes of play, Lastenia FC's Javier Henric made it 1-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmar Quintin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Javier Henric ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmar Quintin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-14. Delmar Quintin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Opilano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Santiago Ferdinand was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. A collision led to Fache FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Santiago Ferdinand hit a great ball. If Lorenzo Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Fache FC defense, Andres Galtero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmar Quintin. The Fache FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Quintin should have stopped the shot. Lastenia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
