Cirilo Abascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Gentza in the 51st minute of play. Desiderio Ederono hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Venancio Panpili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Villa Maria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Sjöström came free, but Cirilo Abascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Buinton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Mira Flores Deportivo's Jim Sjöström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfo Txeru's late challenge caught a Mira Flores Deportivo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Txeru helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Villa Maria FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Cirilo Abascal had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Lorenzo Gentza's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Jim Sjöström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cirilo Abascal. Villa Maria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Sjöström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 94 minutes of play, Mira Flores Deportivo's Jim Sjöström made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Abascal was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Lorenzo Gentza came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Mira Flores Deportivo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Gentza couldn't finish the play.
