After a rather tough play, Cuevas's Roman Daunte got a free kick in the 19th minute. Fulgencio Eli struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Cornelio Remir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iglesia. Cornelio Remir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Eli went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cuevas's Cornelio Remir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cuevas from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Cuevas's Fabio Xabel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Geleberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iglesia's Filomeno Geleberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Curcio in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, Cuevas's Cornelio Remir got control of the ball when Benicio Izquierdo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cuevas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacobo Curcio in the 44th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Sansone made a kick off. Cornelio Remir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Izquierdo in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Benicio Izquierdo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Cuevas's Cornelio Remir. Cornelio Remir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
