Nemesio Osasun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Sansone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Luciano Phelipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Remir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Curcio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Cuevas got a corner. C. A. Azucarera Argentina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nemesio Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Sansone in the 45th minute of play. The C. A. Azucarera Argentina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuevas were winning 0-2.

Cuevas's Jacobo Curcio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for C. A. Azucarera Argentina. Cornelio Remir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Izotz in the 55th minute of the match. Damian Sansone came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nemesio Osasun could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Sansone got free with Nemesio Osasun in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 played minutes Jacobo Curcio rounded C. A. Azucarera Argentina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Timoteo Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
