With a little luck, ROOFF's Filiberto Odol got control of the ball when Osi Pratto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Nuno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elias Nuno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Frascuelo in the 30th minute of the match. Osi Pratto came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Filiberto Odol could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in PANAMERICANO FC's zone, Wilfredo Ferrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Nuno came out of the goal and Wilfredo Ferrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 minutes, Cosme Cucao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROOFF and the PANAMERICANO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cosme Cucao kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Osi Pratto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Wilfredo Ferrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Nuno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PANAMERICANO FC's Elias Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Palban in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Ferrando to make the kick off. Filiberto Odol came out of the goal and Christer Larsfelt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osi Pratto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Odol having to interfere. ROOFF's Jonatan Aguilera was substituted for Narciso Lopes. Alonzo Frascuelo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Elias Nuno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROOFF. Cosme Cucao was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st minute, Cosme Cucao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Ferrando took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elias Nuno. Elias Nuno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
