Severino Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Eufemio in the 4th minute of play. Julio Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11thth minute of the game Teo Cugat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IM James Liquin HC's Severino Atauri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the IM James Liquin HC defense, Evelio Jerold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Atauri. The IM James Liquin HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Atauri should have stopped the shot. Severino Atauri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Eufemio's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Severino Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Cugat in the 21st minute of the match. Newton FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after IM James Liquin HC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teo Cugat took the corner. The corner led Newton FC's Teo Cugat to fire away a dangerous shot which Severino Atauri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severino Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Cugat in the 27th minute of play. Pablo Gomes struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Severino Atauri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton FC. IM James Liquin HC's Severino Atauri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Jerold in the 30th minute of play. Evelio Jerold struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Severino Atauri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton FC. Severino Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Jerold in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Evelio Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Jerold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Atauri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Eufemio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Pablo Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Newton FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Piearres. In the 48th minute Edgard Eufemio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Newton FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the game, Evelio Jerold recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Severino Atauri. Evelio Jerold showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After 55 played minutes Newton FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Bilbo. Christian Maidana kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Severino Atauri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Severino Atauri was a little too slow when Evelio Jerold got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. Edgardo Lordi's late challenge caught a Newton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgardo Lordi helped the player get up and apologised. Evelio Jerold who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Severino Atauri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Severino Atauri was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Evelio Jerold capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evelio Jerold really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Severino Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Jerold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Newton FC booed when IM James Liquin HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adolfo Ondino came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the IM James Liquin HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Ondino couldn't finish the play. Newton FC played a much better game than IM James Liquin HC and deserved their victory. The IM James Liquin HC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
