The crowd rose to their feet as Vidal Silvestre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Tab. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico's Jonatan Cuarto got a free kick in the 7th minute. Fernando Tab didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustin Bidun went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Perrando during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a penalty, and Juan Pablo Sorin placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Vidal Silvestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Tab having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match, Albino Oso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fernando Tab was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 28 minutes into the match, Agustin Bidun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Tab. Barrilete Cósmico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustin Bidun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Albino Oso took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Fernando Tab to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute Vidal Silvestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Tab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Agustin Bidun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Tab made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The crowd rose to their feet as CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Albino Oso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Tab. That made the score 8-0 after 41 minutes of play. After 45 played minutes Barrilete Cósmico got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Maore.

The wind increased when Albino Oso made the kick off in the second half. Barrilete Cósmico's Fernando Tab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Silvestre in the 52nd minute of play. Fernando Tab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidal Silvestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Vidal Silvestre notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Barrilete Cósmico's Fernando Tab. Fernando Tab was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the game, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Siro Birjaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Tab made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Froilan Joseph was substituted for Gustavo Txurio. Vidal Silvestre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barrilete Cósmico's Fernando Tab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Oso in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Vidal Silvestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Tab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE were awarded a corner. Juan Pablo Sorin went to the cornerflag to take it. Vidal Silvestre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Tab having to make a save. Conrado Maore charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Maore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE fully deserved thier win.
