Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) AC Lalus's Isidoro Ponce started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leopoldo Ederono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Berto in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Isidoro Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Rosario was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cirilo Figueroa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to AC Lalus getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Back hit a great ball. Leonardo Azeari was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Santo Rosario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Ponce in the 23rd minute of the match. Isaac Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Santo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Munio might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Rosario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Munio ran back to his position shaking his head. Piquete's Santo Rosario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Ponce in the 28th minute of play. AC Lalus were furious when Bengt-Åke Back was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Piquete booed when AC Lalus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Gimenez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Balesio charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Balesio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Piquete:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC Lalus:s goal. The referee gave AC Lalus a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fulgencio Oliviero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piquete's Santo Rosario. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Piquete's Agustin Presebal got a free kick in the 44th minute. The Piquete players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Lalus were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Dante Berto made the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Ederono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Berto in the 52nd minute of play. Santo Rosario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Lope in the 57th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Piquete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Otsoko to maneuver through the defense. AC Lalus's Fulgencio Oliviero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piquete. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Isaac Lope managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Lalus's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Lope was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Rosario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonardo Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Santo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Marcial Ramirez threw the ball into play from the sideline. AC Lalus's Fulgencio Oliviero quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. AC Lalus played a much better game than Piquete and deserved their victory. The Piquete players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
