The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Neto Volpi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Banban McJohnny, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Saldungaray FC's Neto Volpi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Estebe in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Saldungaray FC's goal looked a bit too open when Banban McJohnny came free, but Neto Volpi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Winnicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Akbulut, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Monigotes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Estebe to maneuver through the defense. Özgür Akbulut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Guillermo Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neto Volpi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Monigotes got a freekick which was hit by Banban McJohnny. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Winnicki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bo Ludas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. The supporters of Saldungaray FC booed when Monigotes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Winnicki was a little too slow when Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 3-0. If Özgür Akbulut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Estebe in the 47th minute of play forced Saldungaray FC's goalkeeper Neto Volpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Estebe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Winnicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Akbulut in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Saldungaray FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Cristian Edur hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Saldungaray FC got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. After a rather tough play, Monigotes's Igor Estebe got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gilbert Winnicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Ludas in the 61st minute of the match. Neto Volpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Escobar in the 65th minute of play. Monigotes's Gilbert Winnicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgür Akbulut in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Akbulut in the 75th minute of play forced Monigotes's goalkeeper Gilbert Winnicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özgür Akbulut took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Winnicki. Gilbert Winnicki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Gilbert Winnicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Özgür Akbulut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Monigotes getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Alejandro Lauro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Banban McJohnny in the 92nd minute of play forced Saldungaray FC's goalkeeper Neto Volpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Monigotes got a corner. Saldungaray FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Escobar ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee ended the match the Saldungaray FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
