After taking down the ball on Rio Percy's corner Nunez Bastiaro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Augusto Batalla quite easily take care of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Diego Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Bastiaro came free, but Augusto Batalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Diego Maradona's Fernando Cavenaghi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bai Le Zheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Diego Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Benet. Augusto Batalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Bastiaro in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Rio Percy were awarded a corner. Nunez Bastiaro went to the cornerflag to take it. Augusto Batalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Galtero in the 17th minute. Nicolas Galtero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Augusto Batalla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Augusto Batalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Galtero in the 21st minute of the match. Jochen Jonckheere hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bai Le Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Bonadona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Maradona's Augusto Batalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Diego Maradona from getting a goal against them. Augusto Batalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Galtero's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Dave Casale hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Galtero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Batalla was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Nicolas Galtero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Augusto Batalla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nicolas Galtero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Augusto Batalla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Nunez Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Percy's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Bastiaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Batalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 43 minutes, Nicolas Galtero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Percy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Galtero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Erubiel Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Galtero to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Rio Percy got a corner. Diego Maradona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nunez Bastiaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Dave Casale fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diego Maradona's protests and gave Dave Casale a yellow card for diving instead. Dave Casale hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Horacio Bero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Batalla. Diego Maradona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Bero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dalmacio Bieito kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Galtero in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Batalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Batalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Bastiaro in the 64th minute of the match. Ezequiel Benet hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Nunez Bastiaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Batalla. Diego Maradona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Galtero in the 67th minute of play forced Diego Maradona's goalkeeper Augusto Batalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rio Percy's Nicolas Galtero in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diego Maradona's goalie prevented a goal. Dalmacio Bieito got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 72 played minutes Rio Percy got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Bieito. Augusto Batalla came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Percy's Nicolas Galtero. But to his dismay, Nicolas Galtero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horacio Bero in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Batalla saved Diego Maradona from getting behind. Baldomiro Bibiano's late challenge caught a Rio Percy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Bibiano helped the player get up and apologised. Baldomiro Bibiano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Dave Casale kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 91 played minutes, Rio Percy's Nunez Bastiaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Batalla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rio Percy reached it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rio Percy fully deserved thier win.
