Neto Volpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Bastiaro in the 13th minute of play. In the last second Bai Le Zheng throw himself and got hold of the ball when Özgür Akbulut in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 16th minute Saldungaray FC were awarded a corner. Marco Naldo went to the cornerflag to take it. Bai Le Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Ludas in the 18th minute. Saldungaray FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Rio Percy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marco Naldo took the corner. The corner ended in Marco Naldo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rio Percy's Bai Le Zheng did a great save. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Özgür Akbulut took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Bai Le Zheng to make any attempt to save it. In the 24th minute, Dalmacio Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neto Volpi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Galtero in the 29th minute of the match. Bo Ludas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bai Le Zheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bai Le Zheng having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saldungaray FC! Neto Volpi had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Nunez Bastiaro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 39th minute Bo Ludas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bai Le Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Ludas took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bai Le Zheng. Bai Le Zheng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 46 minutes into the match, Rio Percy's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Akbulut came free, but Bai Le Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Rio Percy's Nicolas Galtero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After having played for 64 minutes, Bo Ludas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saldungaray FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Ludas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neto Volpi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Galtero's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. A collision led to Saldungaray FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cristian Edur hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Nicolas Galtero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Percy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Galtero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Bastiaro got free with Neto Volpi in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Özgür Akbulut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bai Le Zheng was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Saldungaray FC's Cristian Edur got a free kick in the 81st minute. With a little luck, Saldungaray FC's Neto Volpi got control of the ball when Anibal Mattin tried to sneak it across the goal line.
