Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Niki Lauda started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Lauda in the 4th minute of play forced Maimará's goalkeeper Emanuel Mikelats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Mikelats came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Bruno Oxarra. But to his dismay, Bruno Oxarra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Wu Li Zhi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RIVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Emanuel Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Târban in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Maimará's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Târban came free, but Emanuel Mikelats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Wu Li Zhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Mikelats. Maimará's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wu Li Zhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 0-5 became the score in the 21st minute when Niki Lauda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Wu Li Zhi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Mikelats was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Emanuel Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wu Li Zhi in the 25th minute of play. Emanuel Mikelats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niki Lauda in the 26th minute of the match. Wu Li Zhi scored 0-6 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Mikelats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuel Mikelats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niki Lauda in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, RIVER's Wu Li Zhi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Mikelats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Emanuel Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Lauda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Niki Lauda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Mikelats. The Maimará players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RIVER were winning 0-8.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Estebe made a kick off. In the 51st minute, RIVER's Niki Lauda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Mikelats. Emanuel Mikelats yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Emanuel Mikelats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wu Li Zhi in the 54th minute. Maimará's Emanuel Mikelats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niki Lauda in the 55th minute of play. Saturnino Patxi charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saturnino Patxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. RIVER's Pipo Benedetto was substituted for Wu Li Zhi. A collision led to Maimará getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Saturnino Patxi hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, RIVER's Pipo Benedetto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Mikelats. Emanuel Mikelats yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. 62 minutes into the match, RIVER's Niki Lauda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Mikelats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Maimará defense, Eric Târban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Mikelats. The Maimará fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Mikelats should have stopped the shot. Maimará's Emanuel Mikelats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Rudolfo in the 68th minute of play. Emanuel Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Rudolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Mikelats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Târban, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Eric Târban dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emanuel Mikelats, 0-12. Emanuel Mikelats was a little too slow when Niki Lauda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-13. Emanuel Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Lauda in the 79th minute of play. Niki Lauda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Mikelats came out and tried to block the shot, but Niki Lauda slotted it home off the left post making it 0-14 in the 81st minute. 89 minutes into the game, RIVER's Pipo Benedetto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Mikelats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-16. 95 minutes into the match, Niki Lauda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emanuel Mikelats, 0-17. RIVER's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
