Starkled FC's Jan Trzenzalski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Starkled FC from getting a goal against them. If Mauro Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papagayos's goalkeeper Saturnino Odol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Guillelmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Vachon during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Starkled FC booed when Papagayos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Vachon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Starkled FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alejandro Gimenez in the 52nd minute. The corner ended in Alejandro Gimenez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Papagayos's Saturnino Odol did a great save. In the 53rd match minute, Papagayos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Artaldo to maneuver through the defense. During the 58th minute of the match Gerardo Artaldo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gerardo Artaldo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Papagayos getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gerardo Artaldo hit a great ball. Saturnino Odol made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Joel Gizon sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th match minute, Starkled FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Gimenez to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Benito Guillelmo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Trzenzalski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 70 played minutes Papagayos got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Giraldo. Alfredo Maldonado kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Alejandro Gimenez in the 94th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Saturnino Odol's left hand side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
