After 5 played minutes Mercedario AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Erramu. Eugenio Muno struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Fernando Cresenciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol San Nicolas. A collision led to Mercedario AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jacobo Tallia hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Futbol San Nicolas's Aureliusz Burdalski tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Stergios Stefanoulis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Cresenciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Fernando Orixe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedario AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Orixe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Aresti in the 24th minute of play forced Mercedario AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mercedario AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aureliusz Burdalski was slow to take the kick. During this time Futbol San Nicolas's players had a chance to rest. Stergios Stefanoulis was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Rodrigo Nuxila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Manex, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Mercedario AFC booed when Futbol San Nicolas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Huly didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 33 in the game by Stergios Stefanoulis from a close distance when the talented Fernando Cresenciano managed to make a qualified save. Mercedario AFC's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Ovando was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Angel Manex got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Aureliusz Burdalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Saul Lon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercedario AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futbol San Nicolas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mercedario AFC's Saul Lon got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Miguel Obano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Aureliusz Burdalski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futbol San Nicolas's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliusz Burdalski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Cresenciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dante Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedario AFC's zone, Stergios Stefanoulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Cresenciano came out of the goal and Stergios Stefanoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Futbol San Nicolas's attentive Mariano Huly managed to snatch the ball when Jacobo Tallia made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Rodrigo Nuxila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Lon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Cresconio hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Desiderio Enmanuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futbol San Nicolas's Rodrigo Nuxila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugenio Muno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cresenciano having to interfere. Stergios Stefanoulis scored 1-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Cresenciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Stergios Stefanoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cresenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dante Erramu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Mercedario AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Erramu couldn't finish the play.
