Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gliese Plate Fc's Ermegildo Berto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mailín's Segundo Jakobe in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gliese Plate Fc's goalie prevented a goal. 5 minutes into the game, Clemente Mambru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gerardo Gutxi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 10th match minute, Gliese Plate Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Feo to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Berto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mailín's Gerardo Gutxi. Gerardo Gutxi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Matt Doughty left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gliese Plate Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Matt Doughty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerardo Gutxi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Doughty in the 27th minute of play forced Mailín's goalkeeper Gerardo Gutxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Gutxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Berto in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Clemente Mambru suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Christian Ubarna's late challenge caught a Gliese Plate Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Ubarna helped the player get up and apologised. Gliese Plate Fc's Eliseo Eneas was substituted for Clemente Mambru. In the 30th minute, Christian Ubarna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Doughty in the 35th minute of play forced Mailín's goalkeeper Gerardo Gutxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Mailín's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Doughty came free, but Gerardo Gutxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mailín defense, Ermegildo Berto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Gutxi. The Mailín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Gutxi should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Segundo Jakobe made a kick off. When Segundo Jakobe fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mailín's protests and gave Segundo Jakobe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Segundo Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Gliese Plate Fc's Matt Doughty ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerardo Gutxi. Gerardo Gutxi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Mailín's Gerardo Gutxi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Mailín from getting a goal against them. Gerardo Gutxi was a little too slow when Eliseo Eneas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-6. 67 minutes into the match, Mailín's goalkeeper Gerardo Gutxi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Larra. Mailín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Matt Doughty scored to the left of an out of position Gerardo Gutxi, making the score, 0-7. Gerardo Gutxi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matt Doughty showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 81 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Segundo Jakobe in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 张德伟 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute Matt Doughty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Gutxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Larra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gerardo Gutxi made a huge save. 92 minutes into the game, Matt Doughty recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerardo Gutxi. Matt Doughty showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. 95 minutes into the game, Patricio Leocadio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gliese Plate Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mailín the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gliese Plate Fc's Patricio Leocadio got a free kick in the 96th minute. Gliese Plate Fc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
