Edgar Ispir kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Pirquitas's Baldomero Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Witek in the 19th minute of play. When Claude Rohner fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético River Plate's protests and gave Claude Rohner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Claude Rohner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Modesto Burni notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Club Atlético River Plate's Fabian Txindoki. Fabian Txindoki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Modesto Burni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. After the first half Pirquitas were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Serafino Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Serafino Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabian Txindoki, 0-10. In the 56th minute, Modesto Burni made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Txindoki. Club Atlético River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Azevedo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Txindoki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Fabian Txindoki throw himself and got hold of the ball when Serafino Azevedo in the 81stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 87thth minute of the game Serafino Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético River Plate's Fabian Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Fabian Txindoki managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Pirquitas's Serafino Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
