After 12 played minutes Ranquilcó AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Bernaldo. When Paulo Admon fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Mitre's protests and gave Paulo Admon a yellow card for diving instead. Virgilio Sotil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lech Mindykowski's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Ranquilcó AFC got a corner. Villa Mitre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Gorri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ranquilcó AFC's Carlos Gorri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Virgilio Sotil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 27th minute Gaspar Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Aztore didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Mindykowski in the 33rd minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Adolfo Libertad suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gaspar Mateo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teobaldo Aztore. Teobaldo Aztore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Mateo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Aztore saved Ranquilcó AFC from getting behind. Gaspar Mateo scored 6-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teobaldo Aztore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villa Mitre fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ranquilcó AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
