After some careless play in the Pico AFC defense, Reynaldo Senin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. The Pico AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri should have stopped the shot. When Tomas Abancens fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Tecca's protests and gave Tomas Abancens a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Deportivo Tecca getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tomas Abancens hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Arsenio Loramendi in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pico AFC's Brennan Chute. The audience was convinced that Samuel Matteo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Sandro Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But to his dismay, Tomas Abancens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
