With a little luck, Pico AFC's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri got control of the ball when Melquiades Niguel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdinando Calabrese's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cayetano Vasco during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cayetano Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Konstanty Charlap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Arotza in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Pico AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennan Chute to maneuver through the defense. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Niguel in the 17th minute of play. Melquiades Niguel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a huge save. In the 26th minute Cayetano Vasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konstanty Charlap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Konstanty Charlap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Melquiades Niguel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Melquiades Niguel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Pucara FC made a substitution. Leonardo Nuñez replaced Cayetano Vasco. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Niguel made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Melquiades Niguel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. Pico AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Niguel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Romildo in the 61st minute of play forced Pico AFC's goalkeeper Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Arotza struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Konstanty Charlap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pico AFC. Arturo Bemabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th match minute, Pico AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennan Chute to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Tadeo Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pico AFC's Norberto Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edelmiro Florinio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Melquiades Niguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lázaro Poz fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pico AFC's protests and gave Lázaro Poz a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 minutes of play, Pucara FC's Melquiades Niguel made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pico AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
