An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Enmanuel in the 11th minute of play forced Xerez's goalkeeper Cleto Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cleto Veronica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xerez's Cleto Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Dominguez in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Glenn Hart notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of C.D. Municipal's Daniel Cordarrol. Daniel Cordarrol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bonifacio Enmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Veronica having to interfere. A collision led to Xerez getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Aquilino Marko hit a great ball. If Serafin Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the game, Serafin Dominguez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.D. Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xerez the free kick. After 25 played minutes C.D. Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Dominguez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Hart in the 29th minute of play forced C.D. Municipal's goalkeeper Daniel Cordarrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Serafin Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Xerez's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Enmanuel came free, but Cleto Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

54 minutes into the game, C.D. Municipal's Bonifacio Enmanuel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleto Veronica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Glenn Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Cordarrol having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Xerez got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Hart. Bonifacio Enmanuel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 65th playminute. Serafin Dominguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serafin Dominguez might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cleto Veronica. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Dominguez ran back to his position shaking his head. Bonifacio Enmanuel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleto Veronica having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafin Dominguez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cleto Veronica. That made the score 1-4 in the 76 minute of play. Serafin Dominguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleto Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Dominguez in the 81st minute of the match. If Serafin Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Xerez booed when C.D. Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Enmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Liher kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Serafin Dominguez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. C.D. Municipal played a much better game than Xerez and deserved their victory. The Xerez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
