Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Dubilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yala's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ljubo Roginek was slow to take the kick. During this time Lengua de Lobo's players had a chance to rest. Lengua de Lobo's Pelayo Silva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeledon Curcio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yala's Zeledon Curcio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Yala from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Curcio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Felipo in the 14th minute. Henrik Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Carolo Bizen struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Edgardo Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yala. After some careless play in the Lengua de Lobo defense, Arnaud Konieczny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Patxi. The Lengua de Lobo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Patxi should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patryk Dubilas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Curcio saved Yala from getting behind. In the 31st minute Arnaud Konieczny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Yala booed when Lengua de Lobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Stor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Valentine in the 33rd minute of play. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Dubilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, Lengua de Lobo's Zeledon Curcio threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armando Buinton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's Ljubo Roginek broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Yala defense, Aldo Felipo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Curcio. The Yala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Curcio should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddy Valentine to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Lengua de Lobo were awarded a corner. Ljubo Roginek went to the cornerflag to take it. Edgardo Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Valentine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaud Konieczny in the 64th minute of play forced Lengua de Lobo's goalkeeper Edgardo Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Buinton came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelayo Silva in the 71st minute of the match. One of Lengua de Lobo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yala:s goal. 83 minutes into the match, Marcial Lore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgardo Patxi. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelayo Silva in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute of the game, Pelayo Silva landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carolo Bizen during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Bizen to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Emanuel Quintan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yala's Zeledon Curcio didn't even have to move. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Yala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
