If Maximo Orain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvestre Vilalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Pagomari in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Golosos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ali Modrić was slow to take the kick. During this time Guiñazú FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luciano Ostots almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Golosos's Silvestre Vilalobos did a great save. 23 minutes into the game, Luciano Ostots threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los Golosos's Herbert Ziombkowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Armando Monico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Orain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Vilalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Modrić in the 38th minute of the match. Los Golosos's Silvestre Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Modrić in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Maximo Orain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Modrić in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Silvestre Vilalobos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 53 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Ostots. After 55 minutes, Nicolas Estevez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Golosos and the Guiñazú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guiñazú FC booed when Los Golosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Estevez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Israel Gaza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute of the match Los Golosos got a corner. Guiñazú FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Serafin Leguizamón ran over to the corner to take the kick. Los Golosos's Serafin Leguizamón was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armando Monico in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goalkeeper Armando Monico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquilino Arnau. Armando Monico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Orain in the 66th minute. Silvestre Vilalobos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Modrić's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Silvestre Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Millan in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Golosos's zone, Ali Modrić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Vilalobos came out of the goal and Ali Modrić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Golosos's Adrian Transito was substituted for Maximo Orain. Silvestre Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Pagomari in the 85th minute of play.
