The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timoteo Isauro during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S. D. Americo Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Modrić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saul Txordon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Guiñazú FC's goalkeeper Armando Monico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very nice done corner allowed Christian Lorien to score against Armando Monico in Guiñazú FC's goal. 0-1 after 54 minutes. In the 57th minute Vladimiro Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Americo Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With an all-out effort, S. D. Águilas's Armando Monico threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saul Txordon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Armando Monico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Txordon in the 70th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Saul Txordon notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Guiñazú FC's Armando Monico. Armando Monico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. S. D. Águilas made a substitution. Tiburcio Belo replaced Christian Lorien. S. D. Americo Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S. D. Águilas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
